SK hynix expects 50% annual growth in HBM demand through 2028

SK hynix said during a conference call on Jan. 24 regarding first-quarter 2025 earnings that it expects demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to grow at an average annual rate of about 50% from 2024 to 2028. It noted that sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM4) is expected to be the main product next year, and plans to secure visibility on volumes for the following year with major clients during the first half of the year before finalizing agreements with other clients.
