KRAFTON announced that it officially launched the survival lifestyle simulation PC game 'Dinkum' on the global game distribution platform Steam on the 23rd.
Dinkum is a game set against the backdrop of Australia's vast nature, where players can create their own village through various activities such as gathering, hunting, and building on an island. It was first unveiled as an early access title in July 2022 and has now officially launched after approximately three years of development.
The official version introduced a 'creative mode' that allows players to freely decorate the island, and the multiplayer feature has been improved to allow up to six players to play together by visiting other users' islands. The ability to adjust guest permissions during multiplayer has increased the flexibility of cooperative play.
Additionally, a feature that allows players to rent guest houses to four NPCs for revenue has been added, along with a two-seater 'airplane' for aerial travel and crafting recipes for an 'insect terrarium' where players can collect and raise insects.
Dinkum also released a free trial version in conjunction with the official launch. Players can continue to use the data from the trial version in the official version.
Kim Chang-han, CEO of KRAFTON, noted, 'We will strengthen the competitiveness of various genres of games by expanding the global service of Dinkum.'
