NCSOFT announced on the 17th that it has released a special edition "20th Anniversary Masterpiece Collection" to mark the 20th anniversary of the Guild Wars service.
Guild Wars is a PC online MMORPG developed by NCSOFT's North American development studio, ArenaNet. Released in 2005, it has sold over 7 million copies worldwide and established itself as a global title with 20 million users, thanks to the 2012 sequel "Guild Wars 2" and ongoing expansions.
The "20th Anniversary Masterpiece Collection" is a special edition that encompasses three campaigns of Guild Wars: ▲ Prophecies ▲ Factions ▲ Nightfall, as well as the expansion pack "Eye of the North" and a bonus mission pack. It is sold at an 80% discounted price on the Guild Wars 2 store until the 29th, and items in the game will be up to 60% off.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary, new content has also been updated. Users can hunt monsters to obtain items that were previously offered as pre-order and region-exclusive rewards at a certain drop rate. An event where users can obtain a limited edition Miniature will also take place until May 6.
