Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 16th that its next-generation navigation system won the 'Best Award' in the mobility service institutional sector at the Seoul Mobility Award, recognizing its customer-focused user experience and technological innovation.
The Seoul Mobility Award is an event held as part of the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show and evaluates future mobility technologies such as autonomous driving and connected cars. Hyundai AutoEver received the Best Award in the mobility service institutional sector among 10 companies that passed the preliminary round.
Hyundai AutoEver's next-generation navigation incorporates a voice assistant called "Ever" based on generative artificial intelligence (AI), enabling users to control vehicle systems through natural conversations. When a driver asks for a destination or requests screen brightness like in a casual conversation, the system responds accordingly.
Additionally, it features navigation capabilities that utilize augmented reality (AR). It visualizes key landmarks with 3D graphics to provide more intuitive guidance of actual road conditions. Moreover, lane-level navigation technology is applied, allowing for precise directions.
This technology was developed by the navigation experience innovation team within Hyundai AutoEver's navigation division, which has filed for seven patents, including methods for route recommendation based on generative AI. Hyundai AutoEver plans to promote the application of the next-generation navigation system after consultations with its clients.
Seo Dong-kwon, head of Hyundai AutoEver's navigation division, noted, "We will continuously enhance customer-centric navigation software services based on our differentiated technological capabilities."
