SOCAR announced on the 16th that it will provide an integrated service linking the public bicycle program 'Ddaurengi' and the electric bicycle 'SOCAR Elecle' through its app.
With this integration, Seoul citizens can now use both Ddaurengi and SOCAR Elecle with just one app. They can access over 45,000 Ddaurengi bicycles operated by the city and approximately 50,000 electric bicycles nationwide on a single platform.
To celebrate the launch of the Ddaurengi integration service by the end of May, SOCAR will hold a discount promotion. New members using Ddaurengi for the first time can receive discounts of up to 50% on Ddaurengi vouchers for a 30-day, 180-day, or 365-day period purchased through the SOCAR app. Additionally, users can receive a 50% discount on the SOCAR Elecle usage fees (unlocking expenses and per-minute charges) until midnight the following day, with this benefit available without limit until the end of May.
To use the service, link the Ddaurengi ID in the SOCAR app, then check the locations of nearby Ddaurengi and SOCAR Elecle through the bicycle tab, and select the desired service. SOCAR Elecle adopts the Pedal Assistant System (PAS) that uses both battery and pedal power, making it advantageous for uphill or long-distance travel.
SOCAR plans to expand the operating areas for SOCAR Elecle to 20 regions within Seoul by the first half of this year, in line with the Ddaurengi service. In addition to the current nine operating areas in Seoul, 11 more regions will be added, including Gangseo District, Eunpyeong District, Jongno District, Jung District, Seongbuk District, Dongdaemun District, Jungnang District, Dobong District, Gangbuk District, Seocho District, and Dongjak District.
Lee Seung-geon, head of SOCAR's personal mobility division, noted, "Now, all users can utilize bicycles and electric bicycles with just one SOCAR app, enhancing the convenience of last-mile mobility within the platform."
