KT announced on the 15th that it successfully completed the construction project for a Thai language large language model (LLM) platform in collaboration with the Thai 'Jasmine' Group's IT corporation 'Jasmine Technology Solutions (JTS)'.
KT signed an agreement with JTS in March last year and has been developing the Thai language LLM platform for a year. This project is a one-stop project that includes the construction of 'LLM Ops', the LLM operational management environment, and 'GPU Farm', the AI service infrastructure, along with the development of a Thai language-specific LLM model. KT is the first among domestic corporations to establish comprehensive AI infrastructure overseas.
KT plans to promote the expansion of the AI ecosystem in Thailand by providing GPU resource management and GPU subscription service (GPUaaS) locally in collaboration with its cloud subsidiary, KT Cloud. Additionally, the Thai language, English, and Korean supported LLM model co-developed with Upstage can accurately respond to questions related to politics, history, and culture by learning from unique data from Thailand.
KT plans to enhance its global AX business capabilities through this project and expand its business areas into global markets not only in Southeast Asia but also in the Middle East and Europe. KT will continue to pursue the advancement of AI platforms, expansion of GPU infrastructure, and discovery of new services through ongoing collaboration with JTS.
