Devsisters' development studio OvenGames announced on the 7th that the cooperative action game 'Cookie Run: Tower of Adventure' has released its first original soundtrack 'A Song for You' in collaboration with singer Kay (from the group Lovelyz) and composer Yoon Sang.
'A Song for You' is the first original soundtrack introduced by Cookie Run: Tower of Adventure. It is an emotional ballad that depicts the friendship and narrative between 'Green Bell Cookie' and 'White Berry Cookie,' introduced in the game update on the 31st of last month. Green Bell Cookie, who has a heavenly voice, shares a deep friendship with her childhood friend White Berry Cookie through the common language of music, but one day, she embarks on a journey to find her friend who has disappeared into a crack, portraying a character who does not give up even in conflict.
This original soundtrack delicately expresses the story of Green Bell Cookie searching for her friend and the friendship between the two cookies with a calm yet overwhelming composition. Yoon Sang captures Green Bell Cookie's earnest heart and hope through his sensitive melody and lyrics, while the emotional vocalist Kay enhances the production's quality with her pure voice. Notably, Kay also voices Green Bell Cookie in the game, increasing the immersion of the story.
In the music video released alongside, Kay and Yoon Sang appear, portraying a vocalist and a composer. Together in the same space but in different time zones, Kay and Yoon Sang hint at the story of Green Bell Cookie, searching for her friend in the cracks. Just as the two communicate through sheet music on a desk in the music video, in the game, Green Bell Cookie gathers the scattered sheet music pieces left by White Berry Cookie to follow her traces.
The OST audio can also be found in the new event mode 'A Song for You' in Cookie Run: Tower of Adventure, which has a multi-ending type. In this mode, branching paths appear at each stage, and players must choose options from Green Bell Cookie's perspective. Once all missions are completed, the soundtrack of 'A Song for You' plays alongside the ending illustration, adding deep resonance to the reunion of two friends after a long journey.
Devsisters aims to provide players with a new experience through this first OST collaboration with Kay and Yoon Sang and will continue to strive to deliver content that can be enjoyed both within and outside the game.
