On the 3rd, LG Electronics announced that it entered into a business agreement with Kia for the "implementation of PBV-based mobility space solutions" at the "2025 Seoul Mobility Show" held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The signing ceremony was attended by Ryu Jae-cheol, head of LG Electronics' HS Division (president), and Jeong Won-jeong, head of Kia's domestic business division (vice president).

This business agreement was made with the joint objective of combining LG Electronics' AI space solution capabilities and Kia's PBV technology to provide customers with a differentiated mobility space experience.

The two companies will unveil the concept cars "Schwilaum Studio" and "Schwilaum Glow Cabin," showcasing the vision of this business agreement, at the Kia booth during the "2025 Seoul Mobility Show."

"Schwilaum," which means "play space" in German, is an AI mobility space solution that combines LG Electronics' customized appliances with Kia's PV5, allowing customers to mix and match appliances and furniture according to their personal lifestyles.

Among them, the "Schwilaum Studio," designed for individual entrepreneurs, provides a customized mobility space experience by applying AI appliances, including a modular styler, smart mirror, and coffee machine, suggesting a styler course suitable for travel times. The "Schwilaum Glow Cabin" is equipped with a refrigerator, convection oven, and wine cellar, making it highly useful for outdoor activities such as camping and picnicking.

In particular, the hub "LG ThinQ On," equipped with generative AI, can converse with passengers and optimally control the appliances within Schwilaum. For example, it can register the day's itinerary location in the navigation system while interacting with ThinQ On or recommend picnic food and operate the convection oven accordingly.

Vice President Jeong noted, "This collaboration with LG Electronics will be an important turning point in realizing the essential value of PBV as 'a platform beyond the vehicle' and will contribute to creating a new paradigm of mobility evolving into personalized living and working spaces."

President Ryu stated, "This collaboration with Kia will serve as an opportunity for LG Electronics' 'AI space solution' that creates a new everyday life through empathic intelligence (AI) to expand beyond homes into mobility and ultimately into every space where customers reside."
