The Korea Information & Communication Technology Association (TTA) announced on 1st that it will provide generative AI accounts to all employees and introduce a cloud-based work environment system to accelerate work innovation.
The system being introduced this time focuses on utilizing generative AI (Gemini Advanced) to innovate various tasks such as email, document creation, data analysis, and presentation production. In particular, it plans to automate repetitive inquiries and responses by creating chatbots for various tasks such as business trips, services, and certification procedures, while designating additional responses to practical employees to enhance work efficiency. Outstanding employees utilizing AI will also receive year-end awards and opportunities for overseas training.
In introducing the generative AI system for corporations, TTA has established thorough security guidelines to ensure that inputted data is not used for training. This document includes an ethical code stating that AI-generated outputs will be reviewed by humans, thereby ensuring accountability, and has a system in place to prevent sensitive information leaks through data encryption and access control management.
TTA has made various efforts for AI-based work innovation since 2024. In particular, in April, it operated the 'Early Bird Program' consisting of 28 internal employees to discover over 50 cases of AI utilization, including analysis of international standardization trends, research proposal writing, data analysis and collection, and video production.
The report analysis work for international standard development was completed in just five days, down from the existing 30 days, resulting in a savings of over 10 million won in external service expenses. Additionally, the data comparison task for expenditures, which previously took two weeks, was processed in just 30 minutes, showing remarkable improvements in work efficiency.
To assist employees in utilizing AI, TTA produced and distributed the 'AI Technology Utilization Guide' in June 2024 and established and operates an online bulletin board for sharing cases of AI utilization. Furthermore, to enhance employees' AI capabilities, it conducts level-specific training divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and plans to continue the training this year to strengthen practical application abilities.
Chairman Son Seung-hyun stated, "AI is no longer an option but a necessity," adding that "TTA will provide higher quality services by automating tasks through AI, thereby creating an environment where employees can focus on their core duties."
