On the 31st, Rebellion announced that it has completed the establishment of its first overseas corporation in Tokyo, Japan, and will accelerate its efforts to target the Japanese data center market.

Rebellion explained that through this establishment, it plans to strengthen communication with local corporations and provide closer technical support, while actively seeking to discover new customers. This will be led by Strategic Lead Kim Hye-jin, and the company is also in the process of appointing a corporation head to lead its operations in Japan.

Rebellion aims to expand its presence in Japan through proof of concept (PoC) for the introduction of AI semiconductors with cloud service providers (CSP) and telecommunications companies.

Rebellion secured investments from the Japanese venture capital (VC) DG Daiwa Ventures (DGDV). Last year, it also achieved the milestone of securing its first sales in Japan.

Rebellion's CEO Park Sung-hyun noted, "The AI data center market in Japan is growing rapidly. However, very few corporations in Japan can directly develop AI semiconductors and conduct PoC to operate them in actual data centers." He added, "As Rebellion has already made significant progress in technology cooperation while working with local corporations, the establishment of the corporation will allow us to deeply enter the local market and expand our business in earnest."
