AhnLab's blockchain subsidiary AhnLab Blockchain Company announced on the 31st that it has signed a contract to acquire Ground X's blockchain wallet service 'Klip' and others.

Through this contract, AhnLab Blockchain Company has acquired the entire related business, including 'Klip' and 'KAS' (Klaytn API Service), as well as technical infrastructure and customer support system.

The two companies agreed to integrate their respective wallet services, 'ABC Wallet' and 'Klip,' to create a trustworthy and secure domestic Web3 environment. Even after the acquisition process is completed, existing users will still be able to use the functions of the two wallet services without interruption.

AhnLab Blockchain Company plans to prioritize user asset protection, personal information protection, and security enhancement while strengthening its compliance system. In particular, it aims to enhance the credibility of the domestic Web3 ecosystem by actively adopting the guidelines for virtual asset business operators from the Financial Services Commission and the directives from the Personal Information Protection Commission.

Kang Seok-kyun, CEO of AhnLab Blockchain Company, noted, 'We hope this contract will provide users with a safer virtual asset environment,' and added, 'ABC will grow beyond being the largest Web3 wallet service operator in the country to a world-class level Web3 service corporation.'
