Com2uS announced on the 31st that it made a strategic investment in domestic game developer Offbeat and signed a global publishing contract for the company’s game based on the intellectual property (IP) of 'All-Viewpoint Reader' currently in development.
'All-Viewpoint Reader' tells the story of an ordinary office worker whose novel, read for over 10 years, becomes reality, and struggles to see the ending they desire in a tumultuous world.
The original web novel by author Singyong has recorded over 200 million cumulative views. The webtoon produced by Redice Studio has been serialized globally and published as a printed edition, amassing over 2 billion views worldwide since its launch on Naver Webtoon in 2020.
Last year, it was also under production as an animation through a contract with a famous Japanese animation production and distribution company, and it is being made into a blockbuster film featuring popular actors in the country.
Offbeat is a startup founded in May last year by renowned game developer Moon Seong-bin, who previously served as the representative of Netmarble Blue. Expert developers from various fields, including art director Ahn Seong-won, who participated in the development of 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (GRAND CROSS),' have joined the team.
Com2uS plans to work closely with Offbeat to strategically target the global market for the 'All-Viewpoint Reader' IP game.
