Samsung Display and the labor union reached a tentative agreement on the 2025 wage and collective agreement.
Samsung Display noted on the 28th that it agreed to an average wage increase rate of 5.1% for this year (a base increase rate of 3% and a performance increase rate of 2.1%) through labor-management discussions. A temporary cash welfare point of 1.5 million won will also be provided.
Previously, Samsung Display and the labor union began negotiations for the wage and collective agreement in January and reached a tentative agreement on the 27th after over 10 rounds of discussions. This achievement marks four consecutive years of non-disruptive agreements for Samsung Display since 2022.
Samsung Display explained, “The resolution of this wage and collective agreement is significant as it establishes a foundation of cooperation between labor and management to strengthen the company's competitiveness following the appointment of new CEO Lee Cheong.”
The labor union at Samsung Display plans to conduct a vote among union members next month regarding approval, and the wage and collective agreement is expected to be finalized thereafter.
