Naver announced on the 28th that it will develop an AI agent for the mobility sector in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group.

Naver plans to integrate the Naver app and maps into Hyundai Motor Group's Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) and apply the generative AI model 'HyperCLOVA X' to its voice assistant systems 'Greo AI' and 'Pleos OS.'

This aims to support drivers in utilizing more efficient services in their vehicles and to maximize the user experience of the cars.

Lee Jae-hoo, head of the Naver app institutional sector, explained at the Hyundai Motor Group developer conference 'Pleos 25,' held that day at Coex in Seoul, how the AI model utilizing HyperCLOVA X can enhance user experience. For example, when a driver requests, 'Brief me about my commute,' HyperCLOVA X recognizes the driver’s intent, sets 'the office' as the destination, and starts navigation. Additionally, it will provide briefings on various information such as weather, news, and schedules through the Naver app, and enable users to order or reserve restaurant menus and make payments within the vehicle.

Through this collaboration, Naver aims to help drivers actively utilize smart features even within their vehicles and is focused on enhancing user convenience in conjunction with various services in the future. This technology is expected to further expand within the smart vehicle environment of Hyundai Motor Group.
