Naver Cloud announced on the 28th that it has signed a contract to provide the Bank of Korea with its "NeuroCloud for HyperCLOVA X"-based dedicated generative AI platform.
Naver Cloud plans to train the HyperCLOVA X model on Bank of Korea data to build a finance and economy specialized generative AI model and will start the service in October.
"NeuroCloud" is a service that installs cloud infrastructure in the customer's data center to train AI within a closed network, preventing external data leakage, and was introduced as a solution suitable for the Bank of Korea's security requirements. The two parties plan to develop finance and economy specialized models and provide various functions to enhance productivity and improve work efficiency through AI.
In the long term, there are plans to review ways to provide a service to the public by linking HyperCLOVA X with Bank of Korea materials. Naver Cloud was emphasized as the only corporation that can support independent AI construction in the country, possessing sovereign AI technology and LLM capabilities.
Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, said, "This contract is the first case in the institutional sector of finance and will become a successful model for sovereign AI construction in a sector that demands security and innovation."
