Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics, returned to Korea through Gimpo International Airport on the 28th after completing a business trip to China. This trip was the first public appearance after being acquitted in the second trial regarding allegations of unfair mergers and accounting fraud on the 3rd of last month.

On the afternoon of the same day, Chairman Lee left the site without providing any particular answers to reporters' questions regarding his impressions of the trip to China at the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center (SGBAC) in Gangseo District, Seoul.

Earlier, around 11 a.m. (local time), Chairman Lee attended a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing before heading back to Korea. This meeting marked the first between Chairman Lee and President Xi in 10 years since the 'Asian version of the Davos Forum' held in Boao, China, in 2015.

During the meeting, President Xi reportedly requested the global chief executive officers (CEOs), including Chairman Lee, to consider China as a promising investment destination for foreign corporations.

Chairman Lee, who departed on the 22nd, attended the China Development Forum during his visit, which was held after two years on March 24-25, and visited the factories of Xiaomi and BYD.
