Yang Jae-soo, former vice president of industry-academic cooperation at Anyang University, has been appointed as the new president of the Korea Data Industry Agency.
President Yang majored in telecommunications engineering at Korea Aerospace University and earned a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He has served as a special adviser on informatization at Gyeonggi Provincial Government, a dedicated professor in the College of Engineering at Dankook University, and vice president of industry-academic cooperation at Anyang University.
President Yang noted, "Data is the foundation of the digital industry," and said, "I will strive to enhance the growth of the data industry and its social utilization."
