
KRAFTON announced on the 28th that it has secured management rights by acquiring a 13.75 million dollar equity stake in the Indian cricket game development company "Nautilus Mobile," valued at approximately 20.2 billion won.
The acquirer is KRAFTON's Indian subsidiary, and Nautilus Mobile will be incorporated as a subsidiary of KRAFTON's Indian entity.
KRAFTON's strategy is to strengthen investment in its own game development and promote the growth of the Indian game development ecosystem through this acquisition.
Nautilus Mobile is an Indian mobile game developer founded in 2013, known for its flagship mobile cricket game series "Real Cricket."
"Real Cricket" series has surpassed a cumulative download count of 250 million and has established official partnerships with teams from the Indian Premier League (IPL), India's cricket professional league.
KRAFTON stated that it aims to create synergy by combining Nautilus Mobile's expertise in sports game development with KRAFTON's global capabilities and technology, thereby expanding its business into the global market.
Additionally, it is expected to build a sustainable growth foundation for the Indian game industry through active support for local game developers and the creation of new jobs, fostering a vibrant game development ecosystem.
