SK hynix announced on the 27th that it appointed Han Ae-ra as chair of the board in a board meeting held after the regular shareholders' meeting.

The company noted, "Chair Han Ae-ra joined the company's board of directors in 2020 and served as an audit committee member, contributing to strengthening the company's governance structure and audit functions as a legal expert," adding, "As the first female chair of the board since the company's establishment, we expect her to play a significant role in enhancing the diversity of the board and improving governance."

Chair Han Ae-ra has served as a judge and lawyer and is currently a professor at Sungkyunkwan University Law School, while also working as a mediator at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and as an international arbitrator for the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. Since 2022, she has also been the vice president of the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence Law, conducting research on various laws, systems, and policy responses related to AI.

Chair Han Ae-ra stated, "I will do my best to ensure that the company does not lose its focus as a technology company and continues to grow amid rapidly changing domestic and international environments."
