DeepX announced on the 27th that it received technology validation requests for the DX-M1 prototype from over 300 corporations worldwide through its Early Engagement Customer Program, which it has conducted over the past year as it prepares for mass production of its first product in mid-year. This is an indicator of global corporations' interest in the 'DX-M1' and signifies that the demand for on-device AI technology has reached a certain level of validation.
Since last year, DeepX has participated in over 20 global events annually, operating the Early Engagement Customer Program targeting corporations that require AI semiconductors, including physical security, smart mobility, robotics, factory automation, and camera systems through product promotions and country-specific business activities. By providing MPW (multi-project wafer) based prototypes and technical support to potential customers, it validated the performance required at the practical stage while identifying improvements for various industries based on diverse needs.
These efforts led to significant achievements that go beyond simple mass production preparation by early identifying industry-specific requirements and future market trends, as well as securing various user validations (use cases). A DeepX official noted, "Based on the data and feedback secured in this way, we have significantly enhanced the technological completeness and user convenience of the DX-M1, which is set to launch in mid-year."
DeepX has actively participated in major industry exhibitions worldwide, proving its technological excellence to potential customers. At CES 2024, it received three innovation awards for its foundational technologies, and at Computex Taipei, a representative exhibition for AI semiconductors, it won an innovation award after competing with over 400 corporations. This year at CES, it achieved a record performance with over 16,000 visitors to its booth, being selected as a "must-see company" by the Consumer Technology Association.
In addition, it was recognized as the "most promising emerging company" in the global AI semiconductor industry by market research firm Frost & Sullivan, and DX-M1 was selected as the "Best Product of the Year" by the global IT media EE Times.
Meanwhile, market research firm Omdia forecasts that the global AI chip market will reach approximately $243 billion (about 300 trillion won) by 2028. In particular, a new market valued at approximately $69 billion (about 90 trillion won) is expected to be formed centered on various industries such as physical security, smart mobility, and robotics. To actively capitalize on these opportunities, DeepX is developing diverse global partnerships in the U.S., Taiwan, and Europe, and continually enhancing its product competitiveness through close collaboration with potential customers.
A DeepX official stated, "Over the past year, we have confirmed the rapid expansion of on-device AI technology through technology validations with over 300 corporations worldwide," and added, "Our goal is to leap forward as a global leader in the on-device AI industry by actively responding to actual market demand through the DX-M1, which is scheduled for official release in mid-year."
