SOCAR announced on the 27th that it is supporting residents affected by wildfires by providing campers, thereby practicing ESG (environmental, social, and governance).

SOCAR will provide over 20 units of the Staria Camper, a dedicated model for camping, to the cities of Andong, Hadong, and Sancheong that were affected by the recent wildfires. This camper support is a measure for displaced residents in need of temporary housing and for firefighters and volunteers.

SOCAR plans to operate the campers in collaboration with local governments, using them as temporary housing for pregnant women or families with young children, and as rest spaces for on-site personnel.

The support vehicle, the Staria Camper, is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) specialized for camping, accommodating up to four people. The interior seats can be folded to create sleeping space, and an electric pop-up tent is also equipped, allowing for additional living space.

Park Jae-wook, the CEO of SOCAR, said, “We will actively expand camper support through consultations with other affected local governments” and added, “I sincerely hope that the residents of the affected areas can quickly return to a peaceful daily routine.”
