NEOWIZ announced on the 26th that its flagship rhythm game "DJMAX RESPECT V" successfully concluded its popup store in Japan.
From March 21 to March 23, a three-day popup store was held at the "TK Nightclub" in Shibuya, Tokyo, themed around providing a new musical experience connected by rhythm, showcasing the unique sentiment of DJMAX RESPECT V.
Approximately 1,100 people visited the popup store over the three days. On the first day of the event, a long line formed even before the opening, with users from various countries, including Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan, experiencing the global popularity of the game.
A total of more than 50 types of merchandise were sold at the Japan popup store, including a Japan popup limited edition product featuring a classic design. Popular items from the DJMAX online store, such as physical albums, cushions, and acrylic stands, were also sold, receiving positive responses on-site.
Interactive events and music parties were also held. On the first day, a real-time 1:1 ladder match game event involved attendees. On the second day, a fan meeting autograph session was held with general producer Baek Seung-cheol (BEXTER) and director Jeon (XeoN). They also appeared at the after-party, actively engaging with on-site visitors.
Additionally, a guest DJ party was held where users participated as DJs to enjoy music together. The excitement of experiencing famous songs from DJMAX RESPECT V through vibrant DJing, along with the fun of an offline concert where all visitors were united by music, was presented.
A NEOWIZ representative noted, "We once again thank all users who visited the Japan popup store and will continue various entertainment activities that can connect with global users through 'RAY Studio,' which developed the DJMAX series, and the affiliated music label 'DJMAX Entertainment.'"
