Apple announced on the 25th (local time) that it will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 9 to 13. WWDC is Apple's largest event of the year, held annually in September alongside the launch of new iPhones. It showcases new devices and software to Apple developers and media worldwide.

Apple noted that this year's event will focus on updates to the software powering the iPhone, iPad, and other Apple devices. Bloomberg previously reported that Apple is planning a major update to the operating system installed on its devices.

Amid delays in the release of key artificial intelligence (AI) features on devices like the iPhone, the communication stated that AI features will not be a major focus at this year's event. Recently, Apple announced that the 'more personalized' features of its AI voice assistant Siri, which were scheduled for release this year, will only be available next year.

At the 2023 WWDC, Apple unveiled the mixed reality (MR) headset Vision Pro, and last year, it also revealed its AI system, Apple Intelligence.
