On the 25th, the funeral hall for the late Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee of Samsung Electronics was set up at Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam, Seoul, where condolences from major executives of Samsung Electronics continued. Until last week, Vice Chairman Han had been able to handle formal schedules, such as the shareholders' meeting, without issues, and the executives of Samsung Electronics, both past and present, could not hide their shock at his sudden passing.

From the afternoon, executives of Samsung and prominent figures from politics and business continued to visit Vice Chairman Han's funeral hall. The visiting executives kept their responses to the press brief and continued to offer their condolences amid a heavy atmosphere.

On that day, Lim Sung-taek, Vice President in charge of Korea affairs, was the first to appear at the funeral hall around 11:58 a.m. Following him were President Jeon Kyung-hoon, Chief Technology Officer of the DX institutional sector, President Lee Won-jin, Head of Global Marketing at Samsung Electronics, and former President Kim Hyun-seok, who was the previous head of the CE (former home appliances) institutional sector, all of whom expressed their condolences.

Lee Chan-hee, the compliance officer of Samsung Electronics, expressed his condolences after paying his respects, saying, "It's such a sad incident." Kim Yong-kwan, President in charge of the semiconductor business (DS) institutional sector, also visited the funeral hall around 3:10 p.m. Following him, Jeong Jong-bae, a counselor and former head of the memory business unit, and Choi Si-young, a former advisor and head of the foundry business unit, visited the funeral hall with solemn expressions, not responding to questions from the press.

Choi Ji-sung, former head of Samsung Future Strategy Office (Vice Chairman), Shin Jong-kyun, former Vice Chairman in charge of talent development, and Yoon Boo-geun, advisor of Samsung Electronics, also visited the funeral hall.

On that day, not only major executives of Samsung Electronics but also employees participated in the mourning. Employees from the DX institutional sector, who came to the funeral hall with expressions of disbelief, left the funeral hall in tears after paying their respects. Mourning activities, including the cancellation of team activities and gatherings, are ongoing within the Samsung Electronics DX institutional sector.

Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, is currently reported to be on a business trip to China and is unable to return immediately to pay his respects. He expressed his regret at not being able to attend the funeral in person due to his local schedule in China and conveyed his deep condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family from afar.

Not only Samsung but also leaders of other corporations joined in the mourning. Cho Joo-wan, President of LG Electronics, visited the funeral hall and said, "The person has contributed to the electronics industry for a long time, and it's truly unfortunate that such an excellent individual has left us too soon," and added, "I extend my heartfelt condolences."
