Kakao Entertainment announced on the 24th that it has released a spin-off web novel that connects to the representative global action intellectual property "God of Blackfield."
The web novel "The Black," which was unveiled the previous day on Kakao Page, is a new work by a well-known action intellectual property writer known for "God of Blackfield" both domestically and internationally.
"God of Blackfield" is a work that depicts the story of the protagonist "Kang Chan," who was known for his exceptional tactics as a legend of the French Foreign Legion. After being betrayed by a companion and perishing, he is reborn in the body of a 19-year-old high school student with the same name. The web novel and webtoon combined have achieved a total of 370 million views in South Korea.
The spin-off of "God of Blackfield," "The Black," follows three characters on a journey to find the secret organization The Black agent, Jisoo, who suddenly disappeared in the previous work, set against the backdrop of the Middle East. As the protagonists track Jisoo's whereabouts, they encounter unexpected events, and this marks the beginning of a perilous struggle among various factions in the Middle East.
Kakao Page plans to hold an event until the 2nd of next month to distribute cash and usage credits for the work to readers of "The Black."
