Lee Jae-Yong, chairman of Samsung, visited China on the 23rd and met with Lei Jun, chairman of Xiaomi. Chairman Lee will also attend the high-level development forum opening in Beijing.

According to Chinese media including Xinlang Science and Technology, Chairman Lee and Cristiano Amon, chairman of Qualcomm, visited Xiaomi's automobile factory in Beijing the day before. Lei Jun, chief executive officer (CEO) of Xiaomi, and Lin Bin, vice chairman, welcomed them. Xiaomi is one of Samsung's key clients.

Chairman Lee will also attend the China High-Level Development Forum (CDF) held in Beijing for two days starting today. This marks his first attendance in two years since 2023.

Global CEOs, including Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, Cristiano Amon of Qualcomm, and Amin Nasser of Aramco, will also attend the forum.

The possibility of Chairman Lee's high-level contacts in China is also being mentioned. During his visit to the China Development Forum in 2023, he had a meeting with Chen Min'er, the Tianjin municipal party secretary, who was classified as a close aide to Chinese President Xi Jinping at the time.

He also met with Li Qiang, the Premier of the State Council, during his visit to South Korea last year in connection with the 9th trilateral summit meeting of Korea, China, and Japan.
