As the U.S. intensifies its advanced industry regulations against China, U.S. big technology corporations led by Taiwanese CEOs, including NVIDIA and AMD, are focusing on the Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem. With DeepSeek at its core, the Chinese AI market is experiencing rapid growth, prompting these corporations to accelerate the release of AI semiconductors and software services to support it.

According to industry sources on the 21st, NVIDIA plans to support AI semiconductors essential for running DeepSeek, as well as a software platform capable of enhancing DeepSeek's performance. DeepSeek utilized NVIDIA's low-cost AI semiconductors, which are exempt from regulations, for AI model development. Moving forward, Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's CEO, intends to leverage the 'Dynamo' software unveiled at this month's annual event 'GTC 2025' to enhance DeepSeek's performance.

CEO Huang announced plans to support DeepSeek by integrating NVIDIA's top-tier AI accelerator platform and software at 'GTC 2025'. Huang noted, "NVIDIA applied 'Dynamo' to its existing GB200 NVL72-based large cluster, increasing the performance of the 'DeepSeek-R1' model by more than 30 times." Dynamo is a software platform capable of enhancing the performance of AI inference models, which will be released as open source and provided free of charge to developers.

Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, also mentioned during a conference in Beijing this month that AMD's AI accelerator was compatible with DeepSeek's AI models and Alibaba's QWEN series, allowing Chinese corporations to develop technology more rapidly. Furthermore, Su stated, "I witnessed the continuous growth of DeepSeek's model performance through AMD's optimization efforts." AMD plans to continuously support services that can enhance the performance of the DeepSeek AI model.

As the Chinese AI market grows around DeepSeek, U.S. big tech companies are reportedly stepping up their efforts to target the relevant market. Chen Liang, chairman of the China International Capital Corporation (CICC), noted that more than 10 trillion yuan (approximately 1,900 trillion won) could be injected into the Chinese AI industry over the next six years. Currently, Chinese AI corporations are developing and providing various services based on DeepSeek.

Lenovo and Huawei have also announced plans to incorporate DeepSeek into their new products. Lenovo, the world's top PC company, stated it would apply DeepSeek to its AI PCs. On the 20th, Huawei unveiled its flip-style foldable phone, 'Pura X,' which will be the first to feature the AI assistant 'Harmony Intelligence,' enhanced by its own AI model 'Pangu' and DeepSeek.

An official in the semiconductor industry explained, "Outside of the United States, the place where the AI ecosystem is rapidly growing is China."
