Naver Happy Bean announced on the 20th that it will launch the 'LH Sharing Fund' Good Action campaign in collaboration with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to realize residential stability for vulnerable groups and improve living conditions.
The 'LH Sharing Fund' is a social contribution resource created through voluntary donations deducted from the monthly salaries of LH employees and is used to support local communities in need, such as those in housing instability. To date, the total amount donated through Happy Bean has exceeded 1.2 billion won, continuing various support efforts including improvements in the living conditions of vulnerable groups.
This sharing project delivered 100 million won to 16 organizations to support spatial welfare, including the improvement of the poor living conditions of elderly people with disabilities living in isolation, under the theme 'A house that embraces life.' Happy Bean and LH established a platform for participatory social contribution, introducing the need for spatial welfare support through the Good Action campaign to encourage greater interest and participation beyond simple donations. Over 3,000 LH employees and more than 6,000 users across the country are taking part in donations, with a wave of empathetic support and encouraging comments.
In addition, LH is promoting social contribution activities that can address various social issues, including support for housing environment improvement based on professional expertise, housing safety, response to population decline, and revitalization of the local economy. The organization is pushing forward with the 'A house that embodies honor' housing environment improvement project to express gratitude and respect for national merit holders, having completed improvements for a total of 225 households. Additionally, to support recovery efforts in areas affected by forest fires, it has created a forest that has planted a total of 17,000 trees, and is discovering and promoting various social contribution projects, such as upcycling vacant spaces in the community into integrated cultural spaces and childcare support hubs.
An LH official noted, "Under the vision of 'Cultivating the hopes of the people in desirable homes and cities' for 2025, we plan to expand support that is genuinely helpful to the housing vulnerable by leveraging the corporation's expertise in collaboration with Happy Bean."
Lee Mi-kyung, leader of Naver Happy Bean, said, "We will support various spatial welfare activities for vulnerable groups in housing crises and others together with LH employees who are more sincere than anyone in ensuring warm and safe homes."
