SK Broadband announced on the 20th that it has won the construction project for smart work at SBI Savings Bank and signed a supply contract for the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution 'Cloud X'.

'Cloud X' is a domestic VDI solution developed by SK Broadband using its proprietary technology, providing a virtual desktop environment from a central server without reliance on individual PCs. Users can access the same virtual PC from any device, anywhere, greatly enhancing security and work efficiency.

SK Broadband noted that, through continuous technology development, it has improved user convenience by increasing service utilization speed and enhancing functionalities, and operates an integrated technical support center for rapid after-service (AS), thereby securing differentiated competitiveness to compete with foreign solutions and winning the smart work construction project at SBI Savings Bank. SK Broadband will establish a VDI for a business network consisting of 1,500 virtual PCs.

SK Broadband explained that it has been recognized for its technological capabilities in the proof of concept (PoC) for excellent security through biometric authentication integration during internal and external VDI access, centralized document solutions, and outstanding compatibility with peripheral software.

SK Broadband plans to establish a multi-security system covering users, devices, and network areas by applying Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) technology and FIDO2 biometric authentication-based passkeys to 'Cloud X'.

Kim Gu-young, Deputy Minister of SK Broadband's Enterprise Sales Division, said, “With this project win, the technical and work efficiency superiority of ‘Cloud X’ over foreign solutions has been recognized,” and added, “Based on the proven differentiated competitiveness of ‘Cloud X’, we will expand value beyond VDI into integrated security solutions.”
