SK hynix recorded its largest-ever performance last year, based on its overwhelming position in the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) market, repaying more than 6 trillion won in borrowing funds. This analysis indicates that its financial soundness has been significantly strengthened.
According to the 2024 business report disclosed by SK hynix on the 20th, the company's borrowing fund last year was 22.6837 trillion won, which represents a 23% (approximately 6.7 trillion won) decrease compared to the previous year (29.4686 trillion won).
Over the past three years (2021–2023), SK hynix's borrowing fund increased by 5 trillion won to over 6 trillion won each year, but last year, it reversed this trend based on record performance. It is the first time that almost 7 trillion won was repaid in one year.
