LG CNS announced on the 20th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the artificial intelligence (AI) corporation W&B (Weights & Biases) on the 19th (local time) in Silicon Valley, USA to strengthen operational capabilities in agentic AI.
W&B is an AI corporation established in Silicon Valley, USA, in 2017, providing technology that helps track and manage the processes and results when creating or validating AI models. W&B's solutions are used by over 1,500 corporations, including global AI companies such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, and Cohere, along with more than 800,000 AI developers. W&B's founder and CEO, Lukas Biewald, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Shawn Lewis, are both former employees of OpenAI and Google, respectively.
According to LG CNS, the two companies will share agentic AI technology through this collaboration and engage in joint research and development for the operation and performance optimization of agentic AI services. They will also explore new business opportunities to seize the agentic AI market in the domestic market.
Agentic AI refers to AI that can set and execute goals through more autonomous decision-making than generative AI.
LG CNS plans to support corporate clients in reliably adopting and utilizing agentic AI by collaborating with W&B, which has strengths in AI model operation and optimization.
Additionally, LG CNS aims to enhance its "agentic AI integrated service" for corporate clients through this collaboration. LG CNS's agentic AI integrated service consists of three stages: AX consulting, AX platform development, and AX operation. The company stated that through this MOU, it will actively utilize W&B's AI solutions to optimize performance and quality monitoring of agentic AI and large language models (LLM) during the "AX operation" stage.
