The AI model "Claude" developed by Anthropic is characterized by its ability to understand nuances of collaboration among humans rather than just mechanically handling tasks like coding. As this model gains attention, the number of employees at Anthropic has doubled compared to its founding year (2021), reaching 1,000. This year, it aims to strengthen its global market invasion through solutions that automate web development.

Mike Krieger, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Anthropic, noted on the 18th during the "Amazon Web Services (AWS) Unicorn Day 2025" held at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. Krieger co-founded the social media platform Instagram with Kevin Systrom in 2010.

Krieger CPO said, "Claude can adjust the thinking time based on user requests," adding, "When it needs to provide answers on complex fields like coding or mathematics, it thinks longer before giving an answer."

He further explained, "Based on this cognitive ability, Claude can analyze documents written by multiple people and provide various feedback," stating that "this means Claude can understand how people collaborate and offer feedback." Krieger CPO added, "This is why Claude is being utilized in various fields such as marketing and human resources."

Anthropic also stated that it would strengthen its collaboration with AWS. Anthropic's AI model is implemented through AWS's cloud platform called "Bedrock." Until last year, Anthropic secured a cumulative investment of $8 billion (about 11.5 trillion won) from Amazon, the parent company of AWS. Krieger CPO explained, "By providing AI models on AWS's Bedrock, we have been able to grow rapidly while securing partners around the world, including Korea," adding, "Currently, we are also closely collaborating in the institutional sector of the development of Amazon's proprietary AI semiconductor 'Trainium.'"

Anthropic announced the launch of a new AI model, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, along with a developer tool called "Claude Code." Claude Code is designed to assist developers in coding tasks for web development by complementing or partially automating their coding work. It also has functionalities to identify errors and security vulnerabilities occurring during the coding process and suggest corrections. Krieger CPO explained, "Claude Code can carry out very complex coding tasks on behalf of developers, significantly reducing work time."

Anthropic stated that it aims to focus on reducing the expenses of client companies using its AI. Krieger CPO stated, "We are looking to reduce the expense burden of client companies by launching a small AI model," predicting that expenses could be reduced by up to 90% compared to previous levels.
