The National Intelligence Service announced that the opening ceremony for the first class of the 'Cyber Security Senior Policy Program (K-CSPP, KAIST-Cyber Security Policy Program)' co-hosted with KAIST was held on the 13th at the KAIST Dogok campus.
The opening ceremony was chaired by KAIST President Kwang-Hyung Lee and Deputy Director Yoon O-Joon of the National Intelligence Service, with over 40 experts from major domestic media, law, information technology, security corporations, and government and public institutions attending as the first class trainees.
This program was established to train leaders capable of proactively responding to new security threats based on a deep understanding of global diplomacy, security strategies, and cutting-edge technology trends such as artificial intelligence (AI) and space, as well as cyber security.
The first class training will begin with a special lecture by President Kwang-Hyung Lee on 'Security Strategy in the Era of Digital Transformation' and will be held every Tuesday at the Dogok campus until June 10. It will include a variety of programs such as ▲digital transformation and national security ▲high-tech trends ▲organizational strategy and cyber security ▲innovation and convergence ▲field trips.
Those who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion signed by the KAIST president and be granted alumni status, along with the privilege of participating in various alumni events.
Deputy Director Yoon O-Joon noted, 'The nation’s top-level faculty will broadly share not only new security threats but also response strategies and trends in diplomacy and security,' adding, 'It will provide leaders with strategic thinking and strong insights for crisis response.'
President Kwang-Hyung Lee emphasized, 'The cyberspace, where digital competition is intensifying, has become an important area directly linked to national security, moving beyond a technical issue. Let's explore opportunities to grow together while seeking future solutions through this training.'
