Databricks announced on the 14th that it has formed a strategic product partnership with Palantir Technologies.

This partnership was established to integrate Palantir's powerful ontology system with Databricks' large-scale data processing and AI platform, providing an open and scalable data architecture. Based on proven performance in various customer environments, both companies support real-time AI-based automated workflows through the integration of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and Palantir AIP.

Additionally, by combining Unity Catalog through Delta Sharing with Palantir's multimodal security system, it supports customers in leveraging powerful capabilities of generative AI, machine learning, and data warehousing in a secure and integrated scalable environment.

This collaboration lowers technical and operational barriers to utilizing generative AI and enables efficient deployment of AI automation workflows. Furthermore, through joint engineering, it combines the Databricks Unity Catalog with Palantir's defense-grade security system to enhance operational efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining consistent data governance and security. Currently, various clients in the public and private sectors, including the Ministry of National Defense (DoD), the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and BP, are utilizing the integrated solutions of Databricks and Palantir for their key operations.

Lori Patterson, chairperson of Databricks Federal, noted, "Public and private sector clients of Databricks and Palantir have already been seeking ways to optimize performance and reduce redundant expenses by integrating the two technologies. Over the past four months, we have been able to see how effective the integration of Palantir systems using Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing has been in implementing an open and scalable single data architecture while collaborating with joint clients. By combining Palantir's rapid business value generation capabilities with Databricks' leading data intelligence platform, we aim to offer 'the best combination' to our clients."

Ted Maybry, head of Palantir's global commercial sector, said, "The operational integration of Palantir and Databricks provides a foundation that reduces clients' expenses and complexities while accelerating businesses to meet the demands of the AI era." He added, "Palantir and Databricks share a common vision in supporting clients' mission-critical objectives, and this partnership has already proven to accelerate the achievement of those goals. I believe our emphasized 'best combination' technological approach will lead to the best results."
