Supercell announced on the 11th that it will release two Korean fonts for the popular mobile game 'Brawl Stars' and hold a community event to commemorate the launch.
Brawl Stars developed its own Korean font to strengthen brand identity and provide a familiar experience for fans. Since 2019, Brawl Stars has been using licensed fonts, and through the release of this Korean font, it plans to further enhance its unique personality and strengthen its consolidation with fans. The newly unveiled 'Brawl Display' and 'Brawl Gothic' each reflect Brawl Stars' unique character and practicality.
Brawl Display is a Korean display font that directly reflects the intense personality of the Brawl Stars logo, effectively conveying the unique character and energy of Brawl Stars through its dynamic design. It can be used in various areas where emphasis is needed, such as headlines and titles, allowing for an instant representation of the Brawl Stars atmosphere.
Brawl Gothic is a font that reinterprets the typeface commonly encountered in Brawl Stars games and communities into a Korean font. The company explains that it is intuitive and highly readable, making it suitable for various purposes, such as body text, interfaces, and explanatory phrases, without any burden.
Along with the release of the two fonts, Supercell has set up a 'Free Download of Korean Formats' tab on its website to provide a variety of formats that anyone can easily use in daily life. Fun formats reflecting the personality of Brawl Stars, such as school mottos, schedules, and lunch menus that can be used at home, school, or work, are prepared, and they can be used immediately upon downloading the fonts.
A Supercell representative noted, 'Since Brawl Stars has received great love in Korea for a long time, we plan to continue to strengthen branding for Korean fans,' and stated, 'These fonts are expected to be applied as Korean fonts within the Brawl Stars game by 2025.'
