NEOWIZ announced on the 11th that it will hold the narrative indie game development contest 'NEOWIZ Quest.'

'NEOWIZ Quest' was established to form a consensus on the importance of strong narratives, where the worldview, story, and characters are organically consolidated within the domestic indie game market, and to support the development of story-centered games.

This contest is open to individual developers, development companies, and prospective entrepreneurs who are developing indie games, all of whom can apply through the official teasing page. There is no expense to participate. There are no restrictions on game genres or platforms, but works that are already commercialized, such as early access, are not eligible.

The application deadline is until Jan. 16, 2026. Submitted applications or builds can be modified anytime until just before the deadline. Approximately 10 teams will be selected through a recruitment period of about a year, including the Daesang, grand prize, and other awards. An offline awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on Mar. 6, 2026. The total prize money of 165 million won boasts the largest scale among contests held by NEOWIZ.

Meanwhile, NEOWIZ, which has consistently shown interest in indie games, is currently service providers for popular indie games such as its first publishing work 'Skul: The Hero Slayer' and the critically acclaimed 'San Nabi.' This year, it is preparing for the release of 'Goodbye Seoul: Itaewon Edition' and 'Shape of Dreams' through publishing contracts. Additionally, it has held the 'Indie Game Show from Home' to promote domestic indie games.
