Naver announced on the 11th that it has officially unveiled its streaming service, Chijijik, and has begun accepting applications from streamers who wish to utilize the 3D content production studio, "MotionStage."
MotionStage is a studio that supports relevant technology and specialized personnel for streamers who want to produce high-quality 3D content. It was established using part of the Naver 1784 building located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. This studio supports the combination and manipulation of visual elements in real-time from the filming of 3D content to post-production, allowing streamers to create richer and more diverse virtual content.
MotionStage provides an environment combining Naver's advanced media technologies, such as HDR video and immersive audio, allowing streamers to wear 3D suits and utilize motion capture technology to 3D-map movements from facial expressions to full-body motions. This technology supports advanced functions at the level of 3D animation and film production.
Streamers can exclusively use MotionStage's optical motion capture studio through scheduled applications and will receive support such as suit lending, captured motion data, and specialized personnel. This enables streamers to smoothly proceed with high-difficulty production processes with the help of professional equipment and staff.
Chijijik will accept studio usage applications monthly and will invite selected streamers to the 1784 building. To celebrate the opening of MotionStage, a music video featuring 3D avatars and virtual reality backgrounds created in collaboration with streamers will also be released.
