Samsung Electronics announced on the 10th that it has recorded the number one position in global soundbar sales for 11 consecutive years.
According to market research firm Futuresource, Samsung Electronics maintained its top position since 2014, capturing 20.1% market share by value and 18.4% by quantity in the global soundbar market last year.
Samsung Electronics explained that it achieved the leading position by promoting various soundbar products, including the top-tier 'HW-Q990D' launched last year.
U.S. media outlet Newsweek selected the top product HW-Q990D as an 'Editor's Choice,' stating that it is 'the soundbar with the best surround sound available for purchase this year.'
Additionally, U.S. IT media Techlicious named the lifestyle soundbar 'HW-S800D' as an 'ideal choice for consumers who value both style and design,' also selecting it as an Editor's Choice.
Samsung Electronics is strengthening its attack on the global soundbar market by introducing new products this year that enhance AI-based sound quality and surround effects, as well as the consolidation of various scenarios.
Lee Hun, vice president of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, noted, 'As a result of our efforts to deliver an immersive surround experience to consumers,' adding, 'With this 11th consecutive year at number one, we will continue to introduce products with better sound quality and usability in the future.'
