Former Korea Industrial Technology Association Deputy Chairman Machang-Hwan has been appointed as the 8th President of the Korea Society for Intellectual Property Studies.
The new president was elected as the next president at the board of directors of the Korea Society for Intellectual Property Studies on 3rd. The term is for 2 years. The Korea Society for Intellectual Property Studies, established in 2003, has expanded the scope of research on intellectual property into the fields of management and economics, conducting interdisciplinary research among related academic fields.
The new president is a graduate of the 31st Administrative Examination and previously served as the Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Science and ICT. He graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in public administration, obtained a master's degree in public policy from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, and received a doctorate in technology management from Hanyang University. He is currently serving as a director at the Science and Technology Security Center.
