Mobility innovation platform SOCAR announced on the 7th that it will carry out the 'Driving Score 80 Challenge' until the 30th to encourage safe driving among its members.
SOCAR will raffle free 24-hour lending coupons to members who achieve a driving score of 80 or higher during this challenge. For every 1,000 members who achieve a driving score of 80 or higher, 100 coupons will be raffled, with the number of coupons distributed increasing proportionally to the number of individuals achieving the driving score, up to a maximum of 1,000.
Participation in the challenge is simple. After pressing the 'Participate' button on the SOCAR app's Driving Score 80 Challenge page, members must rent a SOCAR, and after driving, achieve a driving score of 80 or higher. The 24-hour lending coupon will be distributed through a raffle on the 4th and can be used nationwide except for Ulleungdo until April 30.
The SOCAR driving score is calculated by analyzing the total driving data during the time a member has rented a vehicle, scaled to a maximum of 100 points. Up to 4,000 credits are awarded per reservation. Achieving a score of 80 or higher earns 1,000 credits, while a score of 95 or higher earns 2,000 credits. Additionally, achieving each evaluation item such as speeding time, rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and unstable stopping grants 500 credits each, adding up to a total of 2,000 credits.
Kim Dong-hoon, head of the user growth group at SOCAR, noted, "According to SOCAR's accident data and driving score analysis, the traffic accident rate decreases by 30% when the driving score is 80 or higher," and added, "We will strive to ensure that this challenge not only spreads a culture of safe driving but also leads to a tangible reduction in traffic accidents."
