Millie's library, the largest reading platform in South Korea, noted on the 6th that it had successfully completed its exhibition at the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025' held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 3rd.
The MWC, the world's largest mobile exhibition, started with a focus on wireless communication and mobile technology, and has now expanded its scope to include various industrial sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), and content.
As the first reading platform to participate in the MWC, Millie's library showcased a next-generation reading experience incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) technology. In particular, it drew attendees' attention by presenting a future vision that changes the paradigm of reading through two AI-based reading services.
The representative service unveiled by Millie's library at MWC 2025 is 'AI reading farming.' AI reading farming is a service independently planned and developed by Millie's library that identifies user intent regarding specific books, finds suitable original texts for answers within the books, provides precise answers, and guides users to the relevant pages as a personalized AI reading service.
AI reading farming was first introduced based on the '2024 Korea Tourism Guidebook (English edition)' published by the Korea Tourism Organization. Amid the ongoing global Korean Wave, visitors were able to experience real-time exploration of Korean travel information, such as regional tourist attractions, activities, and cultural experiences, using AI reading farming at the Millie's library booth.
The next service introduced was 'AI persona chatbot.' This service provides an immersive experience as the AI learns the author's works and philosophies, simulating the feeling of actually conversing with the author. At this MWC, the 'AI Schopenhauer chatbot,' which learned the works and philosophy of philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, was unveiled. Users reported experiencing a high level of immersion, as if they were engaging in philosophical discourse with Schopenhauer himself.
Bong Eun-hye, Head of the AI Services Division, said, “It was meaningful to showcase Millie's library's AI services on a global stage through MWC 2025,” and added, “Now, AI has become a facilitator that goes beyond a simple tool to enhance the depth and expansibility of reading. Millie's library will continue to innovate the reading experience at the intersection of technology and content.”
