Global short-form video platform TikTok revealed on the 4th that it has exclusively pre-released part of the new digital single 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' by 21st-century pop star J-Hope of BTS over seven days.
The new song was partially unveiled through TikTok at 11 p.m. right after the first stage of the world tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE in SEOUL' held at KSPO Dome in Songpa District, Seoul, on Feb. 28. The official audio will be available on all streaming platforms starting from 2 p.m. on March 7.
'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' is a pop R&B serenade that captures J-Hope's heartfelt desire to love and be loved. Miguel, who features in the song, is a global R&B artist who has won a Grammy Award for 'Best R&B Song' and has been nominated 13 times in categories including 'Song of the Year' and 'Best R&B Album.'
With the release, the pre-saves function on J-Hope's official TikTok account was activated, and related videos of the new song were uploaded on J-Hope's and BTS's official accounts. The pre-saves function allows fans to add upcoming songs to Apple Music and Spotify playlists and receive notifications when the audio is released for immediate enjoyment. By searching for 'J-Hope' or 'Sweet Dreams' on TikTok, users can access a special pre-release page through the top banner to check out exclusive content.
J-Hope established his official TikTok account (@iamurhope) on Jan. 24 and achieved over 100 million views within two weeks. As of February, he surpassed 9.5 million followers, demonstrating his global influence. BTS also conducted the '2023 BTS FESTA' campaign in collaboration with TikTok to celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2023 and currently holds the third-largest music artist account on TikTok.
