The mobility platform "Tada" operator VC (hereinafter Tada) has announced that it began operating the "Seoul Mom and Dad Taxi" service today, starting from 2025. Since the pre-registration that began on the 24th of last month, more than 10,000 parenting families in Seoul chose Tada over the week.

The Seoul Mom and Dad Taxi is a tailored mobility support service for families with infants under 24 months, providing up to 120,000 won in Tada credits per infant. The city of Seoul provides 100,000 won in support, while Tada contributes an additional 20,000 won. The credits can be used like cash in the Tada app.

Tada has deployed 300 large premium taxis, "Tada Next," for this project. The vehicles can be requested both by reservation and in real-time.

All vehicles are equipped with premium car seats suitable for newborns up to 12 years old. In particular, to ensure the safe boarding of infants, the car seats can be adjusted to a "rear-facing mode" that rotates opposite to the vehicle's direction of travel. Various amenities for a comfortable journey, such as sunshades, air purifiers, free Wi-Fi, and charging cables, have also been provided inside the vehicles.

A Tada representative noted, "Utilizing our experience in operating 'Tada with car seats' that allows for real-time requests, we will reduce the mobility burden on parenting families with a differentiated service in the Seoul Mom and Dad Taxi project," adding, "We will continuously monitor passenger satisfaction and incorporate feedback to enhance the service further."

Meanwhile, the Seoul Mom and Dad Taxi operates in all 25 districts of Seoul. Applications for support can be made on the city’s comprehensive pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting platform "Mongdang Information Universal Key" website. Families that have completed their applications can request vehicles through the Tada app.
