This exhibition will introduce Spain's landmark locations through the superior image quality and innovative form factors of Samsung OLED and highlight the strengths of OLED with no variation in image quality across devices through the 'Seamless Color Studio.' In particular, it emphasizes the evolved performance of premium displays by preparing demonstrations comparing it with LCDs and an experiential space for OCF (On-Cell Film) technology.
Samsung Display operates an 'N-screen' experience zone that unifies all IT devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and TVs, with OLED technology, allowing users to experience the same image quality anytime, anywhere. For this, they will demonstrate a 31.5-inch monitor, a 14-inch laptop, and a 6.2-inch smartphone stacked together, showing how all OLED-equipped devices express the Pantone color 'Viva Magenta' uniformly. In contrast, comparison demonstrations with LCD laptops clearly show the differences in color perception and black luminance.
Samsung Display will showcase 'OLED Tiles' featuring ultra-slim bezel technology. The OLED tiles, sized 1.8 meters wide by 0.3 meters tall and inspired by the stained glass of European cathedrals, consist of ten 6.8-inch bezel-less panels and a 31.5-inch monitor, minimizing the bezels to create the appearance of a single large display. Samsung Display has reduced the top, bottom, left, and right bezels by 40% compared to previous products through meticulous modular design.
This exhibition is themed around traveling through Spain's representative tourist destinations alongside OLED technology. It includes planning a trip with an OLED foldable device and offering an immersive experience to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Pyrenees Mountains with QD-OLED TVs and monitors. They will also emphasize OCF technology, which maintains a clear screen even in strong sunlight, like that found in the Tabernas Desert.
Alongside this, new foldable concept products were unveiled. The 'Flexible Briefcase' can be folded in half with an 18.1-inch foldable OLED, taking the form of a bag with a handle, and when unfolded, it becomes a large screen the size of two tablets combined. In addition, the 'Polygon Foldable' features a 3.38-inch diamond-shaped OLED applied as the external display of a flip-type foldable phone, utilizing the laser processing technology of Samsung Display.
Samsung Display will focus on its leading low-power technology, OCF. OCF (On-Cell Film) is a technology that eliminates the need for a polarizer to prevent external light reflection, achieving a screen that is 1.5 times brighter with the same power and reducing panel thickness. The 'L.E.A.D' exhibition zone introduces the features of OCF: ▲ Low power ▲ Eco-friendly ▲ Augmented brightness ▲ Designed to slim & light.
This exhibition will also showcase an OLED for smartphones that achieves a maximum brightness of 5000 nits using OCF technology. This is 1.5 times brighter than recently released flagship smartphones, and the exhibition is designed to allow attendees to see a comparison of the slimmer design of OLED versus regular OLED. Additionally, there will be a space to experience the natural beauty of the Pyrenees Mountains in ultra-high definition with 77-inch and 65-inch QD-OLED TVs and a 31.5-inch QD-OLED monitor.
Samsung Display will unveil a variety of gaming products based on OLED technology at this MWC. The 'Winning Edge' exhibition zone will feature ▲ the world's first 27-inch 500Hz QD-OLED ▲ 160 ppi 27-inch UHD QD-OLED ▲ 240Hz OLED laptops, and plans to emphasize the low grayscale representation of OLED through comparisons in image quality between 15.6-inch OLED and LCD laptops.
In particular, visitors can experience Crafton's popular game with the gaming console 'Flex Gaming,' which utilizes a 7.2-inch foldable OLED, along with the Steam Deck equipped with Samsung OLED and the Razer Blade 16. Crafton's simulation game 'InZOI' will be demonstrated on a glasses-free 3D display, LFD (Light Field Display).
