Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S25 series achieved a sales record of 1 million units within 21 days of its launch, setting the fastest sales record in the history of the Galaxy series. The Galaxy S25 series showed a sales pace that was one week faster than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 series, and shortened the record of 25 days from the past Galaxy Note 10 by 4 days.
The main reasons for this sales achievement were noted to be strong performance, a slim and lightweight design, and personalized Galaxy AI features. In particular, the Galaxy S25 Ultra accounted for about 50% of the sales share. The Galaxy S25 Ultra gained popularity in titanium silver blue and titanium white silver colors, while the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 were primarily chosen in ice blue and silver shadow colors.
Samsung Electronics' New Galaxy AI subscription club also positively influenced sales. This service offers a 50% residual value guarantee upon device return after one year of use and protection against smartphone damage, and is available for self-purchased models. About 60% of subscribers were young consumers in their 20s and 30s.
Samsung Electronics will provide a 10,000mAh wireless charging battery pack for 5,000 won to customers purchasing the Galaxy S25 series from March 1 to April 30, along with a six-month free subscription benefit for Google One AI Premium.
