SOOP announced on the 28th that it will expand support for streamers' content creation starting this year.
SOOP plans to double the annual production support budget of its content support center from March 1. The content support center, which SOOP has operated since 2016, helps streamers turn their ideas into actual content and discover potential streamers. Anyone with a cumulative broadcast time of over 10 hours, whether a regular or best streamer, can apply.
Through this reorganization, not only is the existing support funding being increased, but new support items such as ▲game server fees ▲virtual content production costs ▲merchandise design costs have also been added. Additionally, if supported content is simultaneously broadcast on the SOOP global platform, additional funding will be provided, and support for ticket services for streamer concerts and fan meetings will also be offered.
SOOP carried out this reorganization with the intention of strengthening support so that streamers can create content more stably in an environment where content production methods are diversifying. In particular, it focuses on reducing technical burdens and activating content production by supporting items such as game server fees and virtual content production costs that streamers previously had to bear individually.
The support items for virtual content include VR (virtual reality) map creation and avatar production for content, which is expected to increase opportunities for virtual streamers to create content for concerts and fan meetings. Additionally, support for PPV (pay-per-view) ticket services will be provided for streamers operating content that communicates with fans.
SOOP plans to select a popular streamer as an official ambassador in the first half of this year to support the content production of new streamers through the 'content support center ambassador system.' Along with this, the 'super content of the month' system will also be operated to select streamers who produce excellent content and provide them with benefits.
