SOLiD, Inc. announced on the 27th that it will participate in the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025' to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 3rd to the 6th of next month, operating a standalone booth covering 42m² and showcasing its latest technologies and products.
At this exhibition, SOLiD will strengthen its presence in the global market through meetings with telecommunications operators from around the world, and it will simultaneously unveil its innovative new products 'nALLIANCE' and 'nGENESIS' for the first time. nALLIANCE supports North America, while nGENESIS supports all global markets excluding North America.
'nALLIANCE' is an integrated product supporting frequency bands from 600MHz to 4000MHz, while 'nGENESIS' covers from 700MHz to 4200MHz. These products provide solutions that encompass various frequency bands. In particular, nGENESIS can transmit signals up to 2400MHz bandwidth through a 25Gbps-based system, significantly improving transmission capacity and speed compared to existing products. Additionally, it features functionalities that not only enhance existing Distributed Antenna System (DAS) equipment but also embed the capability to receive O-RAN input signals and convert them into DAS signals, allowing simultaneous accommodation and support of existing base stations and O-RAN base station inputs in one device.
'nALLIANCE' and 'nGENESIS' have introduced the latest technology in their equipment, reducing power consumption by 20% to 49%, and minimizing installation space by over 50% to 67%, ensuring both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. As reducing network power consumption has become a significant issue, this allows for decreased operational expenses and sustainable growth. With the increasing sophistication and intelligence of networks, acquiring low-power technologies is becoming more critical, as much of the carbon emissions from telecommunications arise from power usage. In fact, network equipment accounts for over 70% of carbon emissions in telecommunications, and exceeding carbon allowance may lead to the burden of purchasing additional emissions rights.
SOLiD plans to solidify its leadership in the global telecommunications market through this MWC 2025 and continuously provide innovative solutions through collaboration with various partners. In particular, with the launch of 'nALLIANCE' and 'nGENESIS', it is expected to secure price competitiveness and product superiority in markets requiring 5G and various frequency bands, delivering the best integrated solutions to customers. With the introduction of 'nALLIANCE' and 'nGENESIS', telecommunications operators can reduce investment expenses compared to existing infrastructure, maximizing flexibility and operational efficiency by supporting multiple network environments with a single device. This makes network expansion and upgrades easier, preparing for the transition to next-generation networks like 6G.
SOLiD expects continuous growth in the Open RAN sector as well. The company has already recorded sales of commercialized Open RAN equipment and has recently been recognized for its technological capabilities by securing $27,681,487 (approximately 39.7 billion won) in funding under the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund's NOFO2, implemented as part of the CHIPS and Science Act by the U.S. federal government.
