LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it will introduce examples of digital transformation by domestic partners using its self-developed AI and RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) technologies at the upcoming 'MWC25' in Barcelona, Spain, next month.
First, LG Uplus is collaborating with 'NC AI' to implement AI technology in customer service. 'NC AI', a specialized independent corporation of the leading domestic game company NCSOFT, possesses various technologies, including AI used in game development, and is preparing to commercialize AI technologies that can be applied beyond gaming into media content.
LG Uplus plans to support stable business operations through its self-developed AI solutions and AI data center, as NC AI has a need for a stable service environment in areas such as audio, graphics, chatbots, and machine translation. Specifically, LG Uplus will take on the role of creating and supporting an AI infrastructure environment so that NC AI can focus only on its core business and new AI services. This will help ensure stable and uninterrupted service even amid large-scale traffic.
In the future, the two companies plan to strengthen their collaboration based on AIDC (AI Data Center) in line with advancements in AI technology. AIDC is characterized by providing an optimized computing environment for large-scale AI model training and data analysis. LG Uplus plans to support NC's next-generation game development and service quality improvements by providing energy-efficient AIDC facilities and an enhanced network environment.
Additionally, LG Uplus will innovate the latest road data services based on the RTK solution through collaboration with 'HyuDataS', a road data distribution corporation. LG Uplus's RTK is a solution that allows checking location information of a moving device with centimeter (cm) accuracy. HyuDataS plans to enhance its existing road data distribution services by utilizing LG Uplus's solution.
In the future, HyuDataS plans to expand new business by collecting video information and offering data on road changes through its platform, based on logistics vehicles from Hanjin Logistics equipped with LG Uplus's RTK devices.
LG Uplus intends to showcase its advanced technology competitiveness in AI and ultra-precise positioning through 'MWC25', and plans to share cases of its partners utilizing this technology to promote expanded collaboration with domestic and international operators.
Kwon Yong-hyun, head of the corporate sector at LG Uplus, noted, "LG Uplus is taking the lead in building an ecosystem that can solve partners' pain points and create results by utilizing various technologies, including AI, and grow together." He added, "Through MWC25, we will introduce domestic companies' AX innovation cases to the global market, showcasing LG Uplus's technological prowess and the industrial competitiveness of domestic companies."
