A cloud service operated by NHN subsidiary NHN Cloud experienced an outage, temporarily paralyzing the websites of some domestic public institutions using the service. Access has since been restored.
NHN Cloud announced on its website on the 26th that "beginning at 7:56 a.m., a cloud service outage for public institutions occurred at the Pangyo region (server location), and we are currently identifying the cause."
As a result, access issues occurred from around 8 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. for the websites of some local governments and affiliated organizations using NHN Cloud, including Gwangju City Hall, Gwangju Dong-gu Office, Gwangju Buk-gu Office, and the Gwangju Cultural Tourism Portal.
According to Gwangju City and others, the issue has now been resolved, and access is functioning smoothly.
Gwangju City has reported that the issue arose due to a malfunction in the air conditioning system of the NHN server room.
