KT SAT announced on the 26th that it has launched the next-generation marine satellite integration solution 'XWAVE-ONE', which implements communication by combining the Mugunghwa satellite (geostationary) and SpaceX's low Earth orbit satellite Starlink.
XWAVE-ONE is designed to selectively utilize the high stability of geostationary satellites and the fast speed of low Earth orbit satellites according to each user's usage environment, providing high-quality satellite network services anytime and anywhere, optimized for large vessels.
In addition, it includes an integrated solution that allows users to understand network usage status and manage data usage, and after the launch of Starlink's domestic service in the future, users will be able to purchase data on-site for individual network use.

KT SAT is preparing for low Earth orbit satellite network services in partnership with Starlink Korea in 2023, and plans to provide Starlink services focusing on the marine industry, including large vessels, as soon as domestic approvals are completed this year.
